THE DOLL PARTY
It was only two days before Christmas, and the elves had finished for the day making toys for all the good boys and girls.
They put away their tools and took one last look around. "We made lots of toys today," said Bud. "Now it's time for us to get some rest."
As the elves turned in for the night, Bud heard something in the workshop. "Listen," said Bud to the other elves.
"Do you hear something in the workshop?" The other elves listened and nodded their heads yes.
What could it be? Was it Santa? Was it a reindeer?
In nightshirts and nightcaps, the elves tiptoed down the hallway with their eyes wide open as they made their way to the workshop.
"Shhhh," whispered Bud to the other elves. "Don't make a sound."
The elves had no idea what the noise could be!
Bud threw open the door to the workshop, and inside there were dolls everywhere. Dolls singing and dolls dancing. Baby dolls and grown up dolls.
"We're having a party to say goodbye to all our friends here at the North Pole," said the Little Bo Peep doll. "Won't you join us for our last night at Santa's Workshop?"
"It was the dolls making all the noise!" laughed Bud.
The elves all laughed and sighed in relief, happy that the mystery noisemakers had finally been found.
They joined the dolls to celebrate their last night at the North Pole, singing and dancing until dawn.
THE END!
